Thanksgiving: Thank you Lord for letting me see another beautiful day that you've created. It's not because of my righteousness, but because of your wonderful grace towards me. Lord today as I come before you, I want to lay these things down a your foot:
sin: Lord I know I've sinned against you repeatedly, and today I ask you to cleanse me from all my sins. I know when Jesus died on the cross, my sin died with Him. Lord please make my sins dead to me in Jesus name (Amen)
school: I'm having a bit of a situation with school: my tuition, and getting the right classes. Sometimes I feel like such a failure because I haven't been able to accomplish anything since I started college. Lord I am fully aware of the plans you have for me; plans to prosper me, and father I know you have began a good work in me and you will finish it until the day of Christ. Father I pray that you give me wisdom and knowledge to see this in your own perspective. I know if I put my trust in you, father I will never fail. So today Lord, I'm entrusting everything on your hands. Lord see me through and bless the fruits of my labor.
Family/ Friends: Father God I thank you for my family; I thank you because they're healthy. Lord father I know they have their individual problems, and you alone knows what they are. Father I pray that you meet them at the point of their needs. Lord watch over them in whatever they do. The eyes of the evil ones will never befall them. Father their enemies will never rejoice over them. Lord, bless them and continue to keep them.
Work: Lord I want to thank you for granting me this opportunity to work with these beautiful children that you've created. I have no idea what I'm doing, but Lord I know with you on my side, I am more than conquer. Lord give me the strength to conquer my fears because the Bible tells me that you have not given me the spirit of fear, but that of peace and a sound mind. Lord I also pray for my fellow co-workers. Lord I pray for a wonderful and successful year with no problems whatsoever. Thank you Lord for your blessings and guidance in advance.
Miscellaneous: Lord I pray for all the hurting people - people that lost someone they love; the people that are suffering from one disease to the next; people that are suffering for poverty etc. Lord commit them all into your hands, and Lords I pray that you lay your healing hands upon them and ease them of their pain. Let your light shine upon their lives - make yourself known to them, so that they would know that they're not alone. Lord you're the father to the fatherless, mother to the motherless, and you word says, "blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted." Lord pray for comfort and peace to all these people.
- Lord I pray for enemies or anyone who plots against. Father I forgive them and I pray that you forgive them because they know not what they're doing. Father I bless them and I pray for their well being. Lord let your light shine upon their lives.
*All these things I commit into your hands, and thank you Lord for answered prayer. In Jesus mighty name I've prayed. Amen!
It's not your world....

New development
Hello to whoever reads this blog. I just want to say thank you! :)
I know I've been majorly slacking in the posting department, and that's only because I got caught up in other social network (oops), but today, I've decided to do something different with this blog. I'm turning it into a prayer blog. Yup, a prayer blog.. I'll be posting (as much as possible) my daily prayers. Maybe it might inspire someone or lift someone up. So I hope you enjoy it and be blessed by it.
Have a wonderful day!

oh, rain.
Today started off quite well. I got up at 5:45am (It took me 10 mins to get out of my bed) to do my morning run. My motto is, "if you don't start on Monday you won't start at all" lol... Anyway, I ran for 35 minutes straight and walked back home for 45 minutes. I know it sounds like I ran to another city...lol. Anyhow, I felt great when I was done, but my legs feel otherwise.
When I got home, I jumped rope for 10 minutes before moving on to water the lawn. And right after I turned off the water hose, it started to rain.... and I'm standing there like, "really?? really??!" I could've gone back to bed! lol...and what made me more angry was the fact that, the three cars I washed last night are once again dirty!
I really need to pay attention to weather forecast. It's a little difficult to do when you live in Texas! The weather dictates how it wants to be each day.
I'm going to do some reading and then maybe take a nap.

Just listen.
Sometimes I wonder why people take their own life or engage in bizarre behaviors such as abusing drugs and alcohol. And majority of these people are the ones whom you'd never expect to do such a thing. So what went wrong? My theory is, they stopped trying...they stopped trying because no one cared anymore. I know a few things about people not caring. They stop listening to you and what you have to say. All they care about is what interests them. They don't see you break into little pieces day after day. They don't see the tears in your eyes...the loneliness in your eyes and the emptiness in your smile. Maybe they were the slightest hope you had, but when that's gone, there's nothing left. Nothing seems worth fighting for. That's when giving up sounds so perfect. Don't ever give up. Whatever it is that you're going through, it will pass. It always does.

The power of a smile
His name was John but I didn’t know that prior to the conversation. At first he was just another random classmate who is slightly older than the rest of us and he always made the corniest jokes…he was maybe in his early 40s or maybe life just made him look older. Either way I judged him based on his age and the way he looked.
today was just another random day in anatomy class. We were dissecting a pig and I’m pretty sure everyone just wanted to get the heck out of there as fast as possible. I was in line to get a look at some part of the cut up pig and John was in front me. He turned around and said, “nice shirt…are you a Christian?” and I said, “yes”. I was wearing a black shirt that read, “KNOW CHRIST KNOW PEACE.”
* John preceded to telling me his story…this is what I recall to the best of my knowledge:
” I used to go to church once upon a time and I stopped… I was at a very low point in my life and nothing seemed to be working out so my wife and I decided to move down here (Austin). It wasn’t a smooth transition as we hoped it’d be instead we’re out of jobs and I have to come back to school to get a better degree. The past few months has been the worst..I entered into depression and I tried to kill myself so many times and it never seemed to work. This morning I was driving to school and I tuned into a Christian radio station and I remember asking myself, “why me God?…is there really a God out there?….why am I going through all these” and that was when this song came on (Come to Jesus by Chris Rice) and I felt like it was speaking to me. I started singing and crying….and here you are listening to my story with a smile on face and it gives me hope because if you’re willing to listen to me then God is willing to do so much more for me. Thank you for smiling at me today and don’t ever stop smiling”
I learned two or three things that day: 1) John was a good person…who’s just going through the challenges of life, 2) John said he was going to go back to attending church and 3) always have a smile on your face no matter what you’re going through because you never know who’s life you’re going to save and 4) don’t judge a book by it’s cover :)
